One of many pieces I drew in my first--and possibly only--whole-sketchbook commission. It was a blast to do, but took me several years to complete.
This is a study of a tourmaline dragon. While technically an earth-type, it is more closely related to the fire-type orders--as shown by the high-contrast facial markings and distinctive skull design. For more dragon anatomy sketches, please click here to check out my scraps gallery! Thanks much  |
