Artist's Comments

This kind young lady informed me that she hadn't seen two of these drawings before...and I realized that I had never uploaded them ANYwhere before. Ah well...time to fix that. :)

Three seperate drawings depicting toonified portraits of the three 'true hyena' species (brown, spotted, and striped--respectively.)

I think I had an aardwolf sketch somewhere...but he's long-gone. :(

These are so cool! I love how they're cartoony, while still being realistically drawn. ^^

I absolutely love the expressions on these guys. :3 How you kept them very realistic, but were able to also give them character and personality. I like that. :D

Caramitten, I ADORE YOU. So many people think that there is only one kind of hyena, the kind they saw in The Lion King... and those're definetely toonified, and not as realistic as they could've been. THANK YOU FOR KNOWING BETTER.

Also, do you like aardwolves?

Lordy, I love Hyaenas. The sounds they make, their lack of sexual dimporhism, their afterbirth fratricides, it all gets me right in my gall bladder. And you bring them to life in ways I'll never be able to compare. Thank you for being such a wonderful artist! ;)
