((EDIT: did some small tweaking...no big deal.))

Have you read the book 'Swordbird'?
This guy would fit right in!

It's a Spix's... There's just something special about them, their unique looks and coloration among all the species of parrots, their sadly endangered, almost desperate status on the brink of the extinction and the fact that you very, very rarely get to see even an image of them. They're almost mythical creatures, and therefore suit very well in a picture like this. Wonderful work, I keep on admiring.

Stop teasing me with this card set. I love how you drew him grasping the knife.

I was thinking about buying the deck, but now it is totally worth it just for that card.
I stopped and wowed when I saw it. Really stunning.

I'd second Inkthinker on the perspective of the dagger/knife thing, but the rest is amazing.

Wow! This is amazing! I've never seen an artist do a Spix's Macaw. Come to think of it, there aren't many people who've heard of Spix's macaw.

I'm going to buy a deck; that is, if I can find it. The convention is too far for me to go, otherwise I would. Do you know if they will be for sale anywhere in Texas?

I like the bird and the overall compositions, but something about that knife seems a little twisted in perspective... like the hilt is angled away, but the blade is coming towards.
